Jay-Z Spits New Verse At Inaugural Barclays Center Show

Brooklyn-born businessman Jay-Z performed his first of eight shows at the newly opened, $1 billion Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York last night. The rapper, sporting a limited edition Brooklyn Nets #4 jersey, performed for an overwhelming crowd of roughly 19,000 concert go-ers. While fans of the hip hop king enjoyed performances of past and present hits, including inaugral song, “Where I’m From,” concert-goers were blessed with a new verse from Hov.

“This is Rich Porter, part two
You can stunt like that when you’re rich before your debut
Money and the murder, rapper or the trapper
Either way I’m gonna serve ya
Shooters on my team… no really, I got shooters on my team
Juan or Deron/ How you niggas want it, pick a arm
They call me Lucky Lefty… I ball so hard I don’t respect the fuckin’ referees.”
